Pet Relocation Cost Singapore

Pet relocation costs in Singapore vary because every journey has a different route, pet size, document set and service scope. A small cat travelling on a straightforward route will not cost the same as a large dog moving to a country with laboratory tests, an import permit and quarantine.

AT Pet Services prepares route-specific quotations after reviewing the pet, destination, date and required service level. This page explains the main cost components so families can understand what affects the total.

Pet relocation cost Singapore planning and services

What affects the cost of international pet relocation?

Destination and regulatory complexity

Countries with import permits, rabies serology, long preparation periods, official certificate endorsement or quarantine usually cost more to manage than simpler destinations.

Pet and travel-crate size

Air-freight charges are strongly influenced by the external dimensions and chargeable volume of the travel crate. Larger dogs normally require larger crates, more ground-handling space and higher air-freight charges.

Veterinary preparation

Veterinary costs can include examinations, microchipping, vaccinations, parasite treatments, blood sampling, laboratory testing and completion of destination health certificates.

Government licences and certificates

The journey may require Singapore import or export licences, pet licensing, official veterinary certificates, destination import permits, inspections or customs documentation.

As of this page’s review date, AVS lists S$50 for normal service and S$100 for express service for a personal import, export and transhipment licence. These are only individual government charges and are not the total cost of relocation.

Airline and ground-handling charges

Air-freight, cargo-terminal handling, security, document processing and ground-agent fees vary by airline, airport and route. Availability and breed restrictions can also affect which routing is possible.

Quarantine and arrival fees

Some destinations require government quarantine, veterinary inspection, customs clearance or arrival-terminal handling. Accommodation type, duration and local transport can affect the total.

Collection and delivery

Airport-to-airport service generally involves fewer local transport services than a complete door-to-door relocation. Collection, veterinary transport, airport delivery, destination clearance and home delivery should be clearly identified in the quotation.

Overseas partner services

A destination partner may be needed for permits, customs clearance, quarantine release or final delivery. These services and local taxes can be billed separately or included in a managed door-to-door package.

What should a pet relocation quotation include?

A clear quotation should identify:

  • The services provided by the relocation company
  • Government and veterinary charges included or excluded
  • Flight or air-freight charges
  • Travel-crate supply and delivery
  • Singapore ground-handling fees
  • Destination handling, customs and delivery
  • Quarantine charges, if applicable
  • Taxes or duties where known
  • Possible charges caused by flight, document or schedule changes

It should also state which costs are estimates and which are fixed at the time of quotation.

Information needed for an accurate quotation

Provide:

  • Origin and destination cities
  • Preferred travel date or date range
  • Pet species, breed, age and weight
  • Standing height, body length and other crate measurements
  • Microchip and vaccination history
  • Current travel-crate size, if one is already available
  • Required service: airport-to-airport or door-to-door
  • Any medical, behavioural or breed considerations
  • Whether the owner is travelling at approximately the same time

Incomplete measurements or uncertain routing can result in a provisional estimate rather than a final quotation.

Why we do not publish one fixed relocation price

A single advertised price can be misleading because it may exclude the flight, crate, veterinary work, permits, quarantine or destination services. We prefer to show the proposed scope and cost components for the actual journey.

Frequently asked questions

Is the cheapest quotation always the best option?

Not necessarily. Compare the included services, routing, crate specification, regulatory preparation, destination support and exclusions. Missing services can become additional charges later.

Can the price change after booking?

Third-party charges can change if airlines revise rates, the crate size changes, documents expire, flights are rebooked or government requirements change. Any known assumptions should be stated before booking.

Do you offer installment payments?

AT Pet Services does not offer a standard installment plan. A 50% initial payment is required before bookings and processing begin. The remaining balance and due dates are stated in the quotation or invoice.

How can I reduce avoidable costs?

Start early, provide accurate measurements and records, avoid missed deadlines, train the pet for the crate and confirm the route before booking non-refundable travel.

Request a route-specific quotation

Tell us where your pet is travelling and provide the pet’s measurements and records. We will prepare a quotation showing the proposed services, known third-party charges and important assumptions.
